The New Athens Certification 🗽

We created the New Athens newsletter in order to achieve a long-term vision:
Over the course of our lifetimes, we intend to train 1000 Christian leaders to be skilled in moral reasoning and sound philosophy so they can form the foundation of cultural reform.
To make this vision tangible, we created the New Athens Certification. This is a free certification that serves to identify rising leaders in Christian thought and action.
The certification is available to people who meet the following three criteria:
You understand and affirm the New Athens Statement.
You are part of a Bible-believing church and are living with a clear conscience according to Christian moral standards.
You must be willing to contribute toward the work of intellectual advocacy and/or Christian leadership, either by writing or communicating publicly, or by helping others in this kind of project.

Is this certification free?
Yes.
What are the benefits of the certification?
After you’re certified, you’ll be able to participate in our private online community. You’ll have access our personal network and we will provide free review and advice on your ongoing projects.
Will you keep a public list of those who have received the certification?
We don’t have a public list of those who have received the certification. But you are welcome to list the certification or to tell others about it.
What is the certification process like?
To grant the certification, we need to assess your understanding and agreement with the New Athens Statement. If you have followed our podcast and read our book Redeeming the West (2025), you will be in a great position to qualify for this certification.
How can I become a great candidate?
The first nine episodes of our podcast For the New Christian Intellectual provide context for the New Athens Statement. We recommend listening at least to those nine episodes.
